Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin is channeling her inner cowgirl in a super-leggy pair of ripped Daisy Dukes, plus a sheer shirt. The 31-year-old Olympic medalist and entrepreneur is fresh from photos joking about her "beach day gone wrong" – the weekend Instagram snaps showing the blonde in downtown Dallas, TX came with her in a cowboy hat and boots, also sunbathing with friends while bikini-clad.
Nastia’s photos, shared with her 1.1 million followers, now sit at over 46,000 likes. See why below.
‘Beach Day Gone Wrong’
While plenty of actual beach snaps fill Nastia’s feed, the 2008 all-around champion had gone off-beat, here. Her photos largely placed her in built-up areas of Dallas, where she stunned in an acid-wash pair of denim cut-offs, a statement and sheer black shirt, plus a bold red bra.
Following her usual coordinated and stylish finish, Nastia also sported ankle-rise red cowboy boots, a matching hat, plus shades. She injected some designer action via a luxury Chanel purse worn on her shoulder.

Joined by gal pals and, with a swipe right, seen enjoying outdoor drinks with them, Nastia also included photos of herself poolside and catching rays as she and her girlfriends rocked swimwear. Fans saw Nastia in a pistachio-green bikini, here, this as she lounged around a sun-drenched terrace overlooking Dallas’ high-rise buildings.
Taking to her caption, Liukin wrote: "Beach day gone wrong”… a weekend full of memories, laughs, clear bags, tears, and not many photos (tbh, that’s probably for the best)." More after the gallery, where you can swipe.
Fans Just Love Her
Plenty of love came in via comments, with fellow gymnast Samantha Peszek quickly sending kind words. A local Dallas resident replied: "Omg I LOVE that you all were here!! Hope #Austin was awesome to you." Nastia was born in Russia to Olympic gymnast parents – she moved to the U.S. as a child, living in both Texas and Louisiana.
Nastia’s "beach day" photos contrast a set of images shared shortly before. Here, the Pottery Barn partner rocked high-waisted mom jeans and a yellow sweater while shouting out Coldplay’s "And it was all yellow" lyrics.
Never More Than Two Days Off
"As an athlete, you never take more than two days off. And for them to have taken time off training and face that uncertainty and add on another year … what they’ve had to go through, it’s really unthinkable."
Sending competitors praise, she added: "The fact that they were able to persevere and continue to achieve their dream, I have so much admiration and respect for them.”
